In june 2011, a woman gets killed by a black mamba who had escaped from its cage, in a private (and illegal) collection. In 2006 and 2007, two incidents happen, involving a San Francisco zoo tiger, responsible for the death of a young man. As this zoo prospers and owners make money, everyone get used to see tigers and snakes behind bars, to whom are thrown big pieces of dead meat with drug injections. They get used to see depressed animals, which were taken away from their land to be put in captivity, unwilling to resist the poor conditions imposed on them by weaker creatures... So the day when the animal's true nature is awakened, the animal escape, and behave like we always knew it would behave in such case. But it creates panic, the newscasters get overexcited, and everyone goes "How could this happen?" How could we let a tiger escape from a zoo cage ? Why did the tiger even try to go away ? Who made him do so ? I think this parable does not need much more explication. To conclude, let us remember that the San Francisco zoo tiger, on the first occasion, was put back in his cage. On the second one, he got shot and killed by a police officer. If all of the animals had escaped at the same time, there wouldn't have been any police man stayin around with a gun. Inity is strength.
